The Nuremberg Metropolitan Region local group of the nationwide campaign Defend Human Dignity - Ban the AfD Now! together with the Nuremberg Grannies Against the Right initiative are calling for a day of action in the Nuremberg region (including Erlangen and Neumarkt) to ban the AfD. The Nuremberg alliance Nazistopp and VerLINKung Nürnberg have joined in locally. You can expect information, music and speeches from numerous organizations and initiatives on the AfD ban now!

In response to the classification of the entire AfD as “confirmed right-wing extremist” by the The German domestic intelligence services, broad civil society alliances have announced a nationwide day of action for an AfD ban in numerous German cities on Sunday, 11.05.2025, including the campaign “Defend human dignity - AfD ban now!”, which has been joined by over 60 civil society organizations.

Most recently, a resolution at the Protestant Church Congress, the trade union ver.di and the German Federal Youth Council spoke out in favor of an AfD ban. They are all calling on the Bundestag, Bundesrat and the incoming federal government to immediately initiate proceedings to ban the AfD before the Federal Constitutional Court.
