At the beginning of May, the Office for the Protection of the Constitution classified the AfD as “definitely right-wing extremist”.

We as the alliance “Wuppertal stellt sich quer” therefore clearly demand

AfD ban - now more than ever!

And we are not alone in this. More and more people and institutions are calling for the AfD to be banned! And there are good reasons for this.

• The AfD despises democratic structures. Anyone who takes democracy seriously must use tools to protect it. It is not for nothing that the ban procedure - as a lesson from National Socialism - was enshrined in the Basic Law. No more state funding for enemies of the constitution!
• With its inhumane and racist policies, the AfD is driving the other parties forward. It is thus contributing significantly to a shift to the right in politics as a whole and is a key driver of violence. This must stop!
• The increasing success of the AfD makes it a danger for millions of people. For example, the party openly threatens to deport migrants and people it dislikes politically. Queer people, women, people with a family history of migration, people with disabilities - the AfD tramples on all their dignity. They, all of us, must be protected!

Words have long since turned into deeds - it is high time to take action.

So let's take to the streets together: Wuppertal stands up!
