📢 Kiel demands the AfD ban, now! 💚🩷

On Sunday, 15.12.24, 2 pm in front of the Landeshaus / Kiellinie!

The AfD is a concrete threat to the well-being, physical integrity and lives of countless people. It incites hatred and racism and thus legitimizes violence. No other organization currently uses as many resources, employees and state funds as the AfD to create a social climate in which perpetrators feel encouraged to commit violence. The warnings, demonstrations and political responses of the last ten years have not been able to prevent the rise of this party. However, the German Basic Law already gives rise to a responsibility to protect those affected and threatened. If other means fail, we must therefore also consider banning the party.

We call on all democratic members of the Bundestag to support the motion to initiate a ban procedure by the Federal Constitutional Court. This motion was submitted to the Bundestag on November 13, 2024, see printed matter 20/13750 (https://dserver.bundestag.de/btd/20/137/2013750.pdf).

A ban procedure will take several years - years in which the AfD can become increasingly entrenched. That is why we must campaign for the ban now and exert pressure on those entitled to apply. We must act before it is too late!

More than 50 organizations are supporting the campaign's appeal and calling on the Bundestag to initiate the ban procedure before the new elections in February 2025. Time is of the essence. The future is uncertain. Even if we continue to fight regardless of whether and how the application is decided and how the new elections turn out, our best chance is now!
