Protest for AfD ban announced at interior ministers' conference

The campaign Defend Human Dignity – Ban the AfD Now! together with the alliance Bremerhaven bleibt bunt (Bremerhaven stays colourful) has announced a protest rally for Wednesday, 11 June, at the interior ministers' conference in Bremerhaven. The campaign calls on the interior ministers of the federal states to support the initiation of proceedings to ban the AfD and to make a corresponding recommendation to the Conference of Minister Presidents. Most recently, the campaign called for the initiation of proceedings to ban the AfD with a nationwide day of action in over 70 cities.

The AfD is a concrete danger to the lives of all people who do not fit into its worldview. We do not want to stand by and wait until the AfD comes to power and we have conditions like in the USA – or our own history repeats itself. The interior ministers must now set the ball rolling and immediately speak out in favour of initiating proceedings to ban the party,’ explains Malte Engeler, press spokesman for the campaign.

Time and place of the rally:

Wednesday, 11 June, at 4 p.m. | Columbusstraße / Alter Hafen entrance.
