Right-wing extremism and National Socialism are not new in Germany. We already had them 100 years ago. Munich was the so-called “capital of the movement” at that time, and there are many places that still remind us of the megalomania and horrors of that era. In this city tour, we want to visit some places that bring us closer to this history, but also make connections to the present.

Today, the AfD - and with it right-wing extremism - is becoming increasingly important, even though it clearly follows very similar misanthropic motives as the NSDAP did back then. Against this historical backdrop, we say quite clearly:

The AfD must be banned! Never again is now!

The tour, part of the “Cornern gegen Rechts” series by “Gemeinsam gegen Rechts München”, is clearly not intended to be a “closed event.” We want to confront people on the streets of Munich with these issues and invite them to discuss them.

Many people are concerned about the rise of right-wing extremism, but often lack the means and opportunities to talk about it and express their concerns. With this open tour, we want to not only share information, but also invite active discussion. The streets of Munich belong to everyone, and we will not leave them to the Nazis and right-wing extremists again.
